Located in Warwick, Rhode Island, The Treehouse Preschool is a family-owned and operated early childhood education center dedicated to creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging place where children can learn, play, explore, and grow.

In 2026, The Treehouse Preschool began an exciting new chapter when our family took ownership of the center. With nearly two decades of experience operating early childhood education programs throughout Rhode Island, we saw an opportunity to build upon the school's existing foundation while bringing a fresh vision, thoughtful improvements, and the family-centered approach that has guided our schools since 2007.

A Fresh Start, Built on Years of Experience

When we welcomed Treehouse into our family of schools, one of our first priorities was creating an environment that truly reflected the experience we wanted children and families to have each day.

The school was thoughtfully redesigned, remodeled, and refreshed, with special attention given to creating bright, welcoming classrooms and engaging spaces designed specifically for young children. From classroom layouts and learning areas to materials, décor, and everyday routines, each detail was considered with the children who spend their days here in mind.

But our vision for Treehouse extends far beyond the physical space.

We believe a great preschool is built through relationships—between children and teachers, teachers and families, and families and the school community as a whole. Our goal is for every child to feel genuinely known, supported, encouraged, and excited to walk through our doors each morning.

Where Little Learners Grow

Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support children through each stage of early development, combining meaningful learning experiences with plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy being a child.

Throughout the day, children are encouraged to explore, create, imagine, ask questions, solve problems, build friendships, and discover new interests through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences.

Our classrooms support the development of early literacy and math skills, communication, creativity, fine and gross motor development, independence, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills—all while recognizing that some of the most meaningful learning happens naturally through play.

At Treehouse, we want children to develop more than academic skills. We want them to develop confidence, curiosity, independence, kindness, and a genuine excitement for learning.

Family-Owned, Family-Focused

The Treehouse Preschool is part of a family of seven schools throughout Rhode Island supported by more than 150 dedicated teachers, directors, administrators, and staff.

Our family's journey in early childhood education began in 2007, when sisters Allison Costabile and Kristin Calitri-Duffy opened their first preschool in Cranston. Allison's years of hands-on childcare experience combined with Kristin's background in interior design and business helped shape an approach centered around creating beautiful, functional environments for children while maintaining the personal relationships and sense of community of a family-run school.

Nearly two decades later, those same values continue to guide us.

Although our family of schools has grown, we never want our centers to feel like just another childcare facility. We believe in knowing our families, celebrating children's milestones, supporting parents through the different stages of early childhood, and creating the kind of environment we would want for our own children.

When Treehouse joined our family in 2026, we brought that philosophy with us.

A tree doesn't grow overnight. It begins with strong roots and, with the right environment, care, encouragement, and room to explore, continues reaching higher.

We believe childhood works much the same way.

The experiences children have during their earliest years help create the foundation for everything that comes next. Our teachers help children develop the academic, social, emotional, and practical skills they'll carry with them into kindergarten and beyond.

Most importantly, we want Treehouse to be a place filled with happy childhood memories—a place where children feel safe enough to explore, supported enough to try something new, and loved enough to be completely themselves.

For our family, taking ownership of The Treehouse Preschool wasn't simply about adding another school. It was about welcoming another community of children, families, and educators into our family and giving an established preschool an exciting new beginning.
