Take a Peek Inside our Treehouse!

Nearly Two Decades of Experience

Our Story: A Family Tradition of Care

Our story began in 2007, when sisters Allison Costabile and Kristin Calitri-Duffy opened their first preschool in Cranston with a simple vision: to create a warm, welcoming place where children could feel at home while learning, playing, and growing. What began as one location quickly became a shared passion for providing Rhode Island families with nurturing, dependable childcare and meaningful early learning experiences.

Before opening their first center, Allison spent years caring for children as a devoted nanny, including caring for Kristin’s own children. Together, the sisters brought different strengths to their new venture—combining Allison’s hands-on childcare experience with Kristin’s background in both interior design and business.

Kristin’s eye for design helped shape environments created especially for children, while her business experience helped transform their shared vision into a growing family of schools. Together, they focused on creating spaces that encourage imagination, exploration, creativity, connection, and learning through play.

A New Chapter for The Treehouse

In 2026, The Treehouse Preschool became the newest addition to our growing family of schools.

When our family took ownership of the center, we saw an opportunity to build upon the school’s foundation while creating something fresh, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for the children and families it serves. We came on board with a vision to reimagine the space, enhance the learning environment, and bring the same family-centered approach to childcare that has guided our schools for nearly two decades.

The transformation began with an extensive redesign and renovation of the school. Classrooms and shared spaces were refreshed and thoughtfully redesigned to create bright, engaging environments where children can comfortably learn, play, explore, and grow. Beyond the physical changes, we introduced new ideas, resources, and experiences while building a supportive community for our children, families, teachers, and staff.

For us, becoming part of The Treehouse was about much more than taking ownership of another preschool. It was about welcoming an existing school community into our family and beginning an exciting new chapter together.

Growing Strong Roots

Today, our family of schools has grown to seven locations throughout Rhode Island, supported by a team of more than 150 dedicated employees. Our teachers, directors, administrators, and staff each play an important role in carrying forward the vision that began with one preschool in 2007.

While we have grown tremendously over the years, our approach remains deeply personal. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, loved, encouraged, and excited to come to school each day. We also believe families should feel confident that the people caring for their children truly know and value them.

At The Treehouse Preschool, that philosophy takes on a meaning all its own. Just like a tree needs strong roots before it can grow, we believe a child's earliest years create the foundation for everything that follows.

Learning Through Play, Discovery & Connection

At The Treehouse Preschool, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens when children have the freedom to explore, create, ask questions, make friends, and use their imaginations.

Our approach combines play-based learning with a strong educational foundation, helping children develop confidence, independence, creativity, communication, social-emotional skills, and a lifelong curiosity about the world around them.

Our classrooms are designed to make learning feel exciting and natural. Through hands-on activities, imaginative play, art, early literacy and math, sensory experiences, movement, STEAM activities, and opportunities for social connection, children are encouraged to discover new interests and reach new milestones at their own pace.

From our youngest learners taking their first steps into a classroom environment to our Pre-K students preparing for their next big adventure in kindergarten, we are honored to be part of these incredibly important years.

For nearly two decades, families throughout Rhode Island have trusted our family to care for theirs. In 2026, we were incredibly proud to welcome The Treehouse Preschool into that tradition—and we cannot wait to see how it continues to grow.

From our family to yours, welcome to The Treehouse Preschool—where little learners grow strong roots and bright futures.

Learning Through Exploration & Play

Young children learn best when they are actively involved in what they are learning.

At The Treehouse Preschool, our classrooms encourage children to explore, create, ask questions, experiment, imagine, and discover through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences.

Activities are thoughtfully planned to support:

• Early literacy and language
• Math and number concepts
• Science and discovery
• Fine and gross motor development
• Social-emotional development
• Creativity and imaginative play
• Independence and problem-solving

At Treehouse, we believe learning should spark curiosity, build confidence, and most importantly—be fun.

Growing Strong Roots for Kindergarten & Beyond

Kindergarten readiness is about so much more than knowing letters and numbers.

Our teachers help children build the academic, social, emotional, and practical skills they need to confidently take their next big step.

Through engaging classroom experiences, children strengthen early literacy and math skills while developing independence, communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation, cooperation, and confidence.

Our goal is to give every child strong roots to grow from and the confidence to take on whatever comes next.

Clean Classrooms for Healthy, Happy Kids

Little hands touch everything—which means cleanliness matters!

Our classrooms, learning materials, play spaces, and high-touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly to help maintain a healthy environment for our children and staff.

But a safe environment goes beyond cleanliness. Our team maintains thoughtful supervision and safety practices throughout the school, while creating classrooms that still feel comfortable, inviting, and fun.

Our goal is simple: to give children a space where they can safely learn, play, explore, and grow.

Enrichment Makes Every Day an Adventure

Childhood should be filled with opportunities to discover something new.

Throughout the year, our students enjoy enriching experiences that bring even more creativity, movement, imagination, and discovery into their day.

From music and art to sensory play, movement activities, seasonal projects, science exploration, special visitors, celebrations, and more, enrichment gives children new ways to explore their interests and experience the world around them.

Because at Treehouse, there's always something new to discover.

Thoughtfully Redesigned With Little Learners in Mind

When The Treehouse Preschool joined our family in 2026, we wanted the environment to reflect the kind of experience we believe every child deserves.

We thoughtfully redesigned and refreshed the school to create bright, welcoming classrooms and engaging spaces made especially for little learners.

From classroom layouts and learning areas to materials, décor, and the little details that make a space feel special, our renovations were guided by one question:

How can we make this an even better place for children to learn, play, and grow?

The result is a Treehouse with a fresh new look, a renewed sense of purpose, and plenty of room for little minds to grow.

Family Owned, Family Focused & Growing Together

At The Treehouse Preschool, children and families are at the heart of everything we do.

In 2026, Treehouse became the newest addition to our family of schools. We saw an opportunity to thoughtfully reimagine the center—bringing new life to its classrooms, enhancing its learning environments, and creating a warm, welcoming space where children can truly thrive.

Backed by nearly two decades of experience in early childhood education, our family brings the same care, values, and attention to detail that have guided our schools since 2007.

From our newly redesigned spaces to the relationships we build with each child and family, everything we do is centered around creating a preschool that feels like a community.

New beginnings. Strong roots. Growing together.

STEAM Activities Inspire Big Ideas

Science, technology, engineering, art, and math come to life through hands-on experiences designed especially for curious young minds.

Children might build structures, conduct simple experiments, explore nature, create art, investigate cause and effect, or work together to solve a challenge.

These experiences encourage children to ask questions, try new ideas, think creatively, and discover just how exciting learning can be.

At Treehouse, little discoveries can lead to very big ideas.
